Reflection for April Project
1. My project is a characoal drawing of a 70"s model Twiggy, famous for rocking her pixie cut hair. I used large parchment paper and black charcoal. Twiggy, after sketching it out and shading it all took about a week.
2. I think some really strong parts of my project is the shading in the facial area. I think I did that well because I took my time and shaded it well to how the light hit the face.
3. I think I could have done better on the hair of Twiggy on my project because I feel like it looks a little rush, and the shading wasn't that great.
4. Well Twiggy worked a haircut that all girls envy to work, they call it the "boy cut". She managed to look beautfiul and nothing like a boy, girls dont need to hide byhind hair. So just dont be afraid to do something that you always wanted to do.
5. I think I project shows great texture and shading. Shading in the face and texture in the clothing and hair.
6. I think I had good contrast with the white and black hues of the painting, and a great pattern of the hair. Making it have an unique but yet classy look.
7. I learned that I am pretty good at using charcoal, I can say to try new things becuase you never know, you could be great at something you never thought you could be great at.

Exceeding
8. First I sketched out the drawing very lightly with pencil. Then i did the face with charcoal. Then I shaded the face and added details. Then I did the body and hair.
9. Well I knew I wanted to do something with charcoals this year, and I also knew I wanted to do something with faces. So I just kind of put them both together! I decided to just go with charcaol half way into the project, I was going to do a little pencil but I decided it looked fine with just charcoal.
10. Yes, I am very proud of myself for this project and I feel like I did a really good job. Favorite project yet.
